Interesting germanium boost rangemaster like pedal. Sounds darker than the clean signal.
Does have a fair amount of boost/gain on tap. I used a 2n1308 with a HFE around 205 and similar leakage as described. The higher HFE in the original would probably give it a little more gain. I first measured the voltage but dialed it in by ear eventually a little above 5,8v. I preferred having less boost on lower settings and the range set to 3/4 to max. Otherwise it becomes too wooly and too grainy too quickly. Works great with single coils on edge of breakup.

Rangemaster style boost, which at first I didn’t really understand, but after running it into other pedals I kind of get it. I haven’t run it into a dark amp, so it hasn’t been tested in the situation it’s meant for. I used a 2N1308.
