Best Fuzz I own! Its great, and cleans up really nicely . The sound I’ve been looking for for a single coil neck pickup. It’s almost impossible to find the NKT 275s. I used 2SB 171s instead (just looked at options offered in the pedal this is inspired by and chose some transistors i thought would work for me).

I used GT402b with my build. This is the best sounding fuzz ive used so far .I swapped R2 for a 100k trimmer to better bias Q1 emitter to0.7v then set Q2emitter to 4.55 exactly half the supply voltage coming off the charge pump. i like to have a little input resistance . it helps clean up a bit better when i roll the guitar volume back. if i build another i would put the input resistance pot external . 10 out of 10 awesome sounding circuit.

It’s a fuzz face with a bias knob. Sounds awesome. I used gt310b’s from ebay worked great. 75hfe q1/120 for q2

I’ve built 3 of these- two I gave to friends and one will never leave my board. I used some old Japanese transistors (2SB56 and 2SB175) that I yanked out of a busted reel to reel in mine and it sounds amazing- cleans up beautifully. I wired the “clean” trim up as an external side mounted pot- it’s a worthwhile mod but it doesn’t do anything your guitars volume can’t. Still probably more useful than the fuzz knob though which I think sounds best dimed at all times.

Turned out great. My first fuzz pedal, so not really anything to compare it to, but man does it sound great. One thing is that it doesn’t clean up very well, but that might be because I don’t understand exactly how I’m supposed to use the trim pots. I just sort of tuned it by ear and left it.
