Introduction
The PedalPCB SoulDrive PCB is a dual-stage overdrive inspired by the Fulltone PlimSoul.
NOTE: Due to a patent held by Fulltone Musical Products, the SoulDrive is not a 1:1 electrical clone of the Fulltone PlimSoul.
Controls
- Volume – Controls the overall output level
- Sustain – Controls the amount of signal gain and soft clipping
- Stage 2 – Controls the amount of hard clipping
- Tone – Rolls off treble frequencies

Much better than expected!
Great sounding overdrive pedal with quite some gain on tap with the separate soft and hard clipping options. It’s a little on the darker side but I like how it reacts with tone up higher. I used 1n916 and 3mm red leds. Tried 1n4148 but didn’t like them, BA282/482 or MA856 also work great in this pedal for soft clipping, for a little more open and less saturated sound.
Might have to add a clipping switch to select between the 2 options. And find the vref. 🙂
Improvement would be to have the bass option like in v2
