Smart version of the Super/Tacobolt. Cool to be able to select between both versions.
The Tacos is a cool spitty/gated option which behaves a bit like a fuzz or bender. I was amazed how much gain this one has. Sounds cool as well on lower gain settings.
I had some issues with the height of the 3pdt versus the SPDT and pots which resulted in locked pots. Maybe my drilling was too tight but I ended up using wires on the pots which kept the pressure of the pots.

This thing sounds FANTASTIC! I biased the JFETs at 9.25 V for all 3 of the original Superbolt transistors (left side) and 7.5, 9.7, and 0.75 for transistors 1, 2, and 3 respectively for the Tacobolt transistors. I LOVE that this build has both options available in a single 125b enclosure!
One thing I noticed right away about the Tacobolt version is that it sounds very similar to the Superbolt when playing chords for rhythm, but breaks up like a fuzzed-out overdrive when playing single notes for leads and fills. (Sounds kind of like a Way Huge Red Llama or a Hudson Sidecar.)
It was a SUPER-FUN build too. I think I’m gonna build another one for my buddy. Thanks, Robert (PedalPCB) for a Phenomenal product! You clearly put a lot of thought into this one.
