I dont know the original but this is awesome.

Best dirt pedal.

Great PCB, a little tight on the resistor placement but fits without problems in a 125B enclosure.
Richard Couchman –
Great partner for the Thermionic distortion, The EQ is really good and can shape from crunch to full on dirt.
DollyClonesFX (verified owner) –
A very good clone of dirty shirley circuit, high quality PCB.

Really awesome pedal with loads of dirt if needed! Really nice PCB with nice placement although it’s a bit tights on the resistors as mentioned by other user as well.

Honestly, pretty underwhelmed with this pedal. I used good quality parts, NE5532AP op-amps which have always been incredible for the price, good signal routing so minimize noise, the works. Definitely not my first rodeo. But I didn’t like the way it distorted, I couldn’t dial it in the way I wanted to so it always sounded overly compressed but still somehow not enough dirt either. I figured with 6 knobs and a toggle switch I could easily find several configurations that sounded great for different applications, but the tone controls didn’t give me as much range as I expected them to. I’ve never tried the Friedman Dirty Shirley, so maybe I just don’t like the original pedal that this is based on. I bought a bunch of different Distortion PCBs from here recently and out of all the ones I built, this was my least favorite.
