Awesome “simple” 3 knob delay!!!

It’s got a surprisingly creamy tone. Sounds amazing when it’s on the verge of self-oscillation.

This was my 3rd pt2399 style delay build and my favorite of all. Simple build and even simpler to use. Quiet, doesn’t add extra noise, and works perfectly in front of a distorted amp.

My favorite PT2399 delay board available from PedalPCB. The PT2399 chip is a quirky one and especially because it’s a cheap chip, I’d really suggest using DIP sockets and buying a few from different sources because the differences between two can be rather large.

Exactly what I was looking for…great delay characteristics and it can provide a reverb-like effect as well. Easy build.

Great warm sounding delay spot on!!

This is a very simple, but very lovely sounding delay. Don’t be fooled by the lack of extra knobs—this has been designed with a great sense of what makes the delayed echos sit naturally with the notes you’re playing.

Easy build and a great sounding delay.

This delay has an underwater, submarinish type of sound and is delightfully different than a standard delay. It has already inspired me to start writing a progrock concept album about a mariner on an epic journey over and under the sea. Any pedal that can do that is a special one. My biggest complaint about this circuit is that it cuts down the volume drastically when you turn it on, making it unusable for playing live. I fixed this by drilling an extra hole in the chassis and replacing R5 with an A50k potentiometer (wire lugs2/3 to the R5 pad next to the opamp, wire lug 1 to the R5 pad next to C3.) This will give you volume control with unity gain at about 1 oclock, giving you the option to boost or cut as needed. Current Draw: 22mA

The volume knob mod detailed on Dustin Ozment’s review is spot on, and pretty much what I’ve seen suggested on the pedalpcb forum. Sounds great, easy to build, cheap and common parts used.
