You like a RAT but want a little more versatility out of it? This is the build for you. The clean blend took me some time to warm up to but there are some nice tones to be had here if you’re going into a slightly dirty amp. The standout thing to me is the weight control though. All the way CCW gives you classic RAT tones. The more CW you go, the more bass the LM308 is allowed to amplify. Keep it somewhere around 9-12 o’clock for some really chewy tones, or crank it for a dose of fuzz. Works great on guitar as well as bass.
You can play around with different diode configurations for the clipping switch, but the stock 1N4148 + LED and LED + LED work great.
