The Executive Fuzz was inspired by the Jordan Boss Tone. One of the earliest vintage fuzz units, the original Boss Tone plugged directly into your guitars output jack.
Build your own in a 125B enclosure with top mounted Input, Output, and DC jacks for maximum pedalboard efficiency.
Controls
- Attack – Adjusts the amount of fuzz
- Volume – Controls the output volume
Specifications

Very cool sounding fuzz and an easy build. I’ve heard people say the Boss Tone lacks a bit of low end, but the more you drive the fuzz (attack), the more low end showed up! Also has a very cool and peculiar octavey/glitchy effect with the attack knob turned way down low. Annoying feedback/oscillation (I think) in one spot but if you find the sweet spot, you get some weird and potentially useful sounds. Highly recommended!

Built without LED indicator circuit. Replaced Volume Pot with 47k resistor, kept Attack pot, added a pull down across onboard EQ and Fuzz switch. Use as on-board fuzz with 4Pole (on-off-on) switch.
EQ only- off- EQ through Fuzz. Works beautifully after ground loops eliminated and some tweaking.
