Nice sounding pedal. I like both modes, but the germanium clipping on lower gain sounds really great to me…the only issue I had was with the drilling template…at least with the power jack I used, it wouldn’t fit. The power jack was running into the switch. I ended up putting another nut on the outside of the pedal to back the jack off a bit so that it would fit. If you want to avoid this, then I’d recommend punching the holes for the footswitch as well as the jacks at the top of the pedal…then slide the template down about 1/8 inch before punching the holes for the pots and switch.

This has become one of the staples I use to build pedals for friends.
It’s a great platform for those who want to experiment with the different sounds of Silicon and Germanium diodes.
I’ve even built them with two flavors of germanium and silicon with LEDs.
Really great as well if you want to get into modding as the circuit is super simple and the pots don’t cover any of the components you would want to de-solder and replace.
