Amazing high gain drive. Doesn’t go as scooped as a Dr. Boogey or Metal Zone, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Turned my Tone Master Deluxe Reverb into a flamethrower.
The first one I built sounded so good that I decided to give it to my cousin (also a guitar/bass player). Working on one for myself now. The midrange has the least effect, if you ask me. I leave the Deep switch enabled, but it’s effective on or off; almost like an 80’s (off) and 90’s (on) switch.
The range of distortion is good, however it excels at the higher gain levels. It’s SOMEWHAT versatile – it’s just that it’s all in a modern bandwidth of overdrive/distortion. It’s pretty much a must-have pedal if you want to do 80’s rock.
