I finished this pedal last week, the night before JHS announced they’re discontinuing their pedal due to the Ryan Adams controversy. This pedal sounds amazing. It looks really cool too. When I first played this through my amp, I played Purple Rain, and my wife said it sounded really similar to the original.

The chorus and reverb are really lush, capable of sounding huge. The volume is a nice clean boost if you need it too. This was my first FV-1 build and I love how it turned out.

Great sounding pedal, excellent and simple reverb, chorus and the volume boost is just enough. I like this pedal a lot. I recommend it highly if you want a great sounding chorus or reverb. I’m still tinkering with the volume boost, but so far it hasn’t disappointed either!

I’ve built three of these so far. I have a JHS VCR myself but this one has way more foreward presence in the Chorus. It nails those 80’s sounds of “Sunglasses at night”, “Hysteria”, “Run to You”, and I just died in your arms tonight. Not a hard build either but accurate drilling is a MUST. If I had any complaints it would be 1: the volume boost is just a clean volume that doesn’t add the fatter drive of the original… 2: You have to use the very small jacks to get proper clearance. You can’t use the enclosed black jacks or it will hot the pots.
