Overview
The Abyss is a five knob optical vibe unit capable of subtle warble to out right nuttiness. Now you don’t need to be Ed Harris to breathe in the pink goo and hit the deepest parts of the ocean. Just plug in and jam, maybe the glowing creatures will come to you.
Controls
- Voice – Adjusts the midrange focus
- Throb – Controls the low end thump
- Intensity – Controls how subtle or intense the effect is
- Rate – Controls the speed of the effect
- Level – Adjusts the output volume

I had an original unit it, it came without the jacks wired up! So the sound was less than stellar but even after I got it wired I didn’t really like it. I absolutely love this one! I am not sure if I stumbled onto the right LDR and LED equation or if I PedalPCB just has the magic touch. Either way it is a great vibe and great layout.

easy to build, but the resistor spacing is SMALLER THAN 5 MM and it doesn’t tell you other wise. Because of this, all my resistors had to be bent into shape specifically to avoid touching other components. other than that (aesthetic) its an amazingly dynamic pedal.

Beautiful pedal, just note that the resistors are 1/8w, not the usual 1/4w
