I haven’t built this yet but posting 5-star just because it came with riser/adapters for the slide switches, which I was not expecting. This place makes everything easy! FYI, mouser part #611-SS-23E06-G5 are a perfect fit.

I’ve been going direct at gigs using a tonex for quite a while. I wanted some other options, so I grabbed and built this. WOW. It sounds fantastic. I think I had got too used to digital latency because I use this at home, and tonex at the rehearsal space and I find the tonex lacking now. I swapped it out with this, had the marshall setting at low gain and it worked great for my rock band purposes. HIGHLY recommend. Faceplate makes it the best DIY build I’ve done too.

This pedal turned out so good. I really wanted a Marshall JCM800 pedal, but this one has the “modern” tone which adds bass back into the JCM tone. Absolutely fantastic. I haven’t used the tweed much. But if you want James’ tone from Ride the Lightning (intro to Trapped Under Ice was what I want), this pedal gets you pretty close.

Great pedal and a great choice for my first pre-amp. You can get some really great tones and distortion out of this thing. In fact, my biggest complaint is still a compliment, and that’s that I wish the distortion elements were controllable with a 2nd foot switch so I could utilize both the clean and dirty tones quickly.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the slider switches vs a normal 3 way switch, but the face plate saved my awful drilling. Still not enough to drop a start though.
