Killer sounding distortion, really wide volume sweep and can get REALLY loud.
Ended up using TL071 over the LM308 and it’s super smooth.

Excellent pedal! I highly recommend, especially for first time builders due to the minimal components and high tweak-ability. This is one of my absolute favorite lead pedals.

Classic build! This thing puts out great tone and has been a lot of fun. Pretty easy and straight forward build too.

Great board and easy build. I always socket all ICs anyway but especially good call here to play with different op-amps.

Love this board. Using it for a custom project and added some mods. Tried to TurboRAT it – all 1M resistors replaced with 2.2M and output cap changed to 10uF. Using LM308N and LEDs for clipping.
Sounds great, tons of gain on tap, sounds similar but as different as I’d expect to my ProCo RAT with the changes I’ve made.
High mod-ability and low part count, would absolutely recommend everyone try building one and checking it out.

Built this with the TL071. I have a vintage reissue Rat with the LM308. After A/B-ing them for a while, they sound almost exactly the same. In fact, I actually like this build with the TL071 more than the real deal!

This is an amazing pedal, and the easiest one I’ve built so far. Very beginner friendly.
I used a TL071 Op Amp instead of the LM308 and it sounds great. BTW, just leave the 30p capacitor empty if you do that.
