To be fair, I played this through a DI, but it acted like more of a boost than anything for me, and the filter knobs were more of an EQ. I know this circuit was from the early days of effects pedals, and I presume it would work differently on a tube amp, but even in my setup this adds a certain something to the signal.

This pedal is insane. It’s something like if a cocked wah and a boost had a kid, it would be this. I really haven’t explored the full range, but the volume knob addition to the original circuit was a really good idea. From what I can tell it’s more of a lead guitar/solo pedal, not as great with chords. I’m using it with the Amentum boost into the Kliché, along with a Boss GE-7. Amp is a heavily modded Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a Celestion Hempback speaker.
