This circuit is really easy to build, and it sounds great! Plenty of great tones ranging from a slightly driven sound to compressed, synthy fuzziness. It does have quite a bit of treble, especially when I run it in front of my amp sim pedal, but it helps with clarity if anything. Perfect for doom & gothic metal, which is what I was interested in using it for!
