Rectie (verified owner) –
First off, I was too impatient to await the build documentation for this one. Luckily, there is no shortage of information on the topic of building any iteration of tone bender circuit ever produced. I used a pair of low hfe (~50) 2n1307s in Q1/Q2, and an unruly (~160 hfe) 2n404 in Q3 with a JAN1n270 diode. I feel like I have more gain range and a more responsive tone control than my EQD Park, so I’d consider it a rousing success. My only complaint is the location of the led pads in relation to the control positions, but that’s definitely not compromising the sound of the circuit.
