The Barrage fuzz sounds good to me. Half distortion/half fuzz depending on where the drive is set at. On my build, at max drive I lose a little low end. About 3/4 drive sounds best to me. I used a 2n5457 (socketed) until I can get my hands on a J201. Can’t seem to find a PF5102 on my end. But this went straight to the pedalboard. Works fine after my buffer/tuner combo. I give it a A+.

Update from previous review. Finally tried a J201, which was better than the 2n5457 for the gain character. But I did find a PF5102 and that is the way to go. Sounds closer to the YouTube videos. It does make a difference here it seems. Good luck. Still a 5 star pedal. Great for slide!!!
