Nice straight up easy build distortion!
Not every pedal needs tone controls, and this pedal proves it! Took seconds to dial it in and have it sounding great.
This pedal nails all of my distortion needs – anything metal / hard rock / Marshall-ey, this pedal does that. It’s got no fuzz sounds as far as I can tell.
A note on the LED – it’s pretty close to the switch, so I recommend wiring the LED away from the board rather than under-mounting, otherwise you might need to screw in the switch without a washer.
The taper on the “1” volume is a little off – I have unity gain at 3 o’clock – maybe it needs a linear pot?

Firstly, don’t be fooled by the name; it sounds nothing like fuzz, big muff, or high gain distortion. It is a vintage sounding, low gain OD/Distortion pedal with 2 gain stages. Mode 1 is overdrive, mode 2 stacks another overdrive circuit in series with the first, getting you into medium distortion territory. My only critique is that the pedal can sound overly bright with some guitars (Fenders); simply rolling down a couple of notches on the guitars’ tone knob fixed this. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by how much I love this pedal and it has become a mainstay in the drive section of my board. Current Draw: 5mA
