Loving this build so far! Make certain your 2n5457’s (if that is what you are using) are genuine, or else your BIASING will have major issues. I had fakes, or TERRIBLY spec’d variants from Amazon, and couldn’t bias any lower than 11.1v. With GENUINE items, I was able to bias @ 4.5v.
On that Note, 2n5457’s sound good, but for what it’s worth I had some 2n5485’s laying around while waiting on genuine 5457’s, and I think I like their sound a bit better! It’s all about the experimentation to dial in what you like.
All in all, you will NOT regret this build, and you MUST BUY IT NOW!

This is a special one. Built a few others like it, this one was superior in layout and overall sound/feel. Super loud!

Mofeta > IR box has become my main amp for the past year. Pleasantly saturated at all gain levels, effective EQ, love the interaction of the Brite, Normal, and Master. I only wish I had saved myself a 3PDT and built it sans switch because I never turn it off. Super good A++!
