Dung Beetle may not be a very flattering name, but don’t let that put you off. This is one SWEET sounding fuzz. I have some very nice germanium Tonebender clones that I’ve built and this pedal gives all of them a run for their money. Plus, you don’t have to contend with the cost or hassle of germanium trannies. The bias, tone and fat controls give this pedal a ton of versatility. Another must build is the Carcass Fuzz, which is also versatile but has its own unique flavor.

Great sounding silicon fuzz. Very flexible with the bias and fat knobs.
Nice layout and easy build.

I absolutely love this fuzz. Every fuzz tone you could possibly need is in here. It just sounds absolutely massive through old tube amps and even digital amp sims.
I particularly love the bias knob, around 9’oclock you get into gnarly velcro-ey territory and it acts as a gated fuzz fully CCW. MBV tones for days. Fully CW is classic rock overdrive territory. Sounds amazing on bass as well!
Easy build, nice layout, and readily available part list. Build it!!
